Mrs. Crystal Burgess

Hello! My name is Crystal, my family and I have lived in Glen Rose for 6 years. I’ve been married to my husband, Scott for 19 years and we have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.  I’ve been homeschooling my youngest daughter since January of this year.  My 15 year old son attends Glen rose High School.
Photography is my passion and God has blessed me with the availability to provide for my family doing something I love.
I work professionally as a portrait and wedding photographer, and I also own a volume photography business where I currently photograph 9 youth sports leagues and 3 schools. I love sharing what I’ve learned about photography over the last 20+ years with others.

Mrs. Lissa Roberts

I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast! And when I run, I feel his pleasure.” - Eric Liddell

I haven’t run in decades, but like Eric Liddell, I feel His pleasure as I paint. Like God’s first act in creation to separate light from dark, the secret to beautiful art is the delicate act of separating the lights from the darks.

Sketching since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I began seriously honing my skill in 2010 where I attended the Baton Rouge Fine Art Academy at the Mandeville campus. I was an active member of three art leagues, taught workshops, and participated in numerous juried shows. One of my greatest honors was having my art selected for the prestigious River Road Art Show catalog cover.

In 2016 I became a “naturalized” Texan and fell in love with the state. Through divine intervention I had the opportunity to study with Western artist Martha Spurlock. I had the privilege of being the first show, after the pandemic at Tarleton State University’s Langdon Center Gallery in Granbury, TX.

Moving to Glen Rose in 2020, I have been a participant in the annual “Art on the Paluxy at Barnard Mill and Art Museum.” As a tribute to my new hometown, I have done a series of watercolors of the front doors of downtown courthouse square and share their history.

Mr. Mike Wynn

USA Archery Instructor Level 2

Archery is a true passion of mine and I am blessed to be able to share that passion with others.  I have been shooting a bow for 20+ years.  I started competing about 15 years ago and turned Pro about 6 years ago.  I have competed all over the US in National events.  Indoors and outdoors.  My favorite discipline is shooting outdoor 3D archery.  I have been coaching friends and other competitors for several years.  This past year I started coaching kids outside of my daughters and have found it to be such an honor to invest the archery discipline into our younger generation
